2. Event Space + Planning Support
From lakefront charm and Hogwarts vibes to modern, flexible spaces, we offer dozens of venues across our downtown locations. The space that checks the boxes is waiting for you.
Our event team is here to help with logistics, tables and seating, setup management, and the day-of details you don’t want to worry about.

To reserve a space for a personal, invitation-only, private event, you must be a lifetime or annual Wisconsin Union member. All 18 and over are eligible to become Wisconsin Union members. Only lifetime Wisconsin Union members can reserve spaces for weddings. Corporate memberships are available for those seeking to schedule conferences and meetings in our spaces.

4. Entertainment and Activities
We host more than 1,000 events each year at Memorial Union and Union South. Yes, more than 1,000. Nearly every day, your guests can enjoy free live concerts, free film screenings, low-cost performing arts events, and free art exhibitions.
At Memorial Union, guests can also visit Wheelhouse Studios for hands-on art-making or rent outdoor recreation equipment from Outdoor UW. From snowshoeing to kayaking, adventure is always within reach.
At Union South, guests can enjoy bowling, billiards, and free video game use.

5. Private Group Events
Looking to schedule an activity for you and your guests? Look no further than the Wisconsin Union. Contact us in advance to plan your priate group event.
Wheelhouse Studios can help you host an arts event that invites your guests to relax into their Madison experience and connect with one another. A game of bowling or billiards at Sett Recreation gets guests laughing, bonding, and swapping tips.
For those who prefer the outdoors, our recreation outlet Outdoor UW offers guided adventures that showcase Madison’s natural beauty without ever leaving downtown. From staff-led hikes along the lakeshore to guided kayaking excursions on Lake Mendota, these shared experiences turn introductions into connections and moments into memories.
