Membership Manager Dawn Dever retires after years of enhancing membership value, making membership experiences special
With a combination of sadness and happiness, we share that Wisconsin Union Membership Manager Dawn Dever will retire in April.
Since joining our team, Dawn has dedicated herself to creating a valuable, enjoyable membership experience for our more than 120,000 lifetime and annual members and to ensuring our members’ voices are part of every aspect of our team’s work.
She always asked herself how she could make the Wisconsin Union membership experience even better. From tailgate experiences to sweet evenings of chocolate and draft pairings, she brought creativity and passion to the experiences she created for members.
Dawn gained a reputation at the Wisconsin Union for her kindness, willingness to brainstorm and try new ideas, and dedication to teamwork.
“Dawn is devoted not only to supporting Wisconsin Union members but also us, her colleagues,” said Shauna Breneman, Wisconsin Union public relations and communications officer. “She is one of the most authentic people one could ever hope to meet, and I think our members felt that in every interaction with her.”
Her many accomplishments include but are far from limited to the establishment of a UW-Madison alumni rate for membership and the creation of brand-new (almost always sold-out) member experiences.
Dawn will be missed here at the Wisconsin Union, but we wish her the fondest goodbye-for-now as she enters this next part of life, one assuredly filled with quality time with her children and grandchildren and return visits to the Memorial Union Terrace.
