Hoofers space to get much needed update

Although original plans intended the Play Circle to be much larger, it was scaled back due to budget issues that arose just before construction. The Play Circle ended up being designed as an experimental theater, with three stages instead of one. You won’t have to cheer on the Badgers alone – Union South is open from 12 noon to 10 p.m. on Monday, January 2 for the Rose Bowl. You can watch the game on The Sett’s 18-foot HD TV, and enjoy $2 brats and free soda refills with a proof of purchase. Kick-off is 4:10pm, but get there early for a slice of pizza from Urban Slice, a cold beverage from The Sett, badger gear from Badger Market and even a game of bowling in The Sett’s recreation level.
