  By Brittany Rathsack This spring break, a group of 13 Hoofer windsurfers ventured to the wind sports mecca, Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. The group consisted of a mix of people with a wide range of skills, on windy days, the beginners were wowed by fancy tricks, and on calmer days, advanced boarders imparted their wisdom with those learning. Ceramic Tile Installation at Union South Now Finished

Gloria Van Dixhorn, the artist who coordinated the student art around the bubblers in Union South, has just completed two ceramic tile murals near the Prairie Fire. The tiles are based on two of Aesop’s Fables. The first portrays the Tortoise and the Hare: The second features the Fox and the Crow: See our artistic tour of Union South here. Held annually at the Hoofer Equestrian Center, these camps are available for kids ages 8 to 16. This camp allows both new and experienced riders to be completely immersed into interaction with horses as well as gain knowledge about these animals. By Emily Duncanson The Women’s UW-Alpine Ski Racing Team recently returned from the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association National Championships in Sunday River, Maine.
