Your Membership Benefits Recap

Hey, wonderful Wisconsin Union members! It’s been awhile since we’ve been able to gather in-person for art-making, performing arts performances, Badger Bash tailgate celebrations and other experiences for a lifetime. When we say we missed you, we mean it from the bottom of our Terrace-loving hearts. With a year of in-person experiences for a lifetime already in motion, we’re taking this opportunity to remind you of all of your membership benefits.

  • Wheelhouse Studios discounts: After the year we’ve all had, who couldn’t use some art therapy? Our team members at our art studio at Memorial Union have put together a lineup of classes with everything from wine and paint nights to photography
  • Wisconsin Union Theater discounts: The 2021-22 Wisconsin Union Theater has begun, and, as a Wisconsin Union member, you pay less for in-person experiences for a lifetime. Our Theater team is also offering virtual attendance options for many events. Click here for more information about our performing arts season.
  • Discounted bus tickets: Our Memorial Box Office has reopened! What this means for you, our members: You can now purchase theater season tickets online or in-person, AND you can save on a round trip Van Galder bus ticket to Chicago if you purchase your ticket in-person at the Memorial Union Box Office
  • Sett Recreation discounts: Sett Rec is back, and, with it, comes access to member discounts on bowling, indoor rock climbing, and billiards. You can enjoy food and beverages during your time in Sett Rec from any on-site dining option, including right at Sett Rec. A staff favorite at this recreation destination is the Bosco Sticks. They are filling, delicious comfort food to help fuel your fun.
  • Outdoor UW discounts: The Outdoor UW team is ready to help you enjoy Wisconsin’s outdoors all year long. And, if you’re a Wisconsin Union member, you guessed it: you have access to discounts. These discounts are on your outdoor recreation equipment rentals, from kayaks to snowshoes. Don’t forget, as a member, you can also join one or more of our six Wisconsin Hoofers clubs. These multi-generational clubs have more than 2,000 members and learn about the outdoors and enjoy the outdoors year-round. Your outdoors-loving community awaits you in the Hoofers.
  • Wisconsin Union Hotel and Club Suites discount: Imagine staying at your lakefront suite with a lake view and plenty of restaurants just a few floors below you at one of the most famous entertainment destinations in Wisconsin. That’s our Wisconsin Union Club Suites at Memorial Union. Just a five-minute drive away or 10-minute walk, you can stay at a luxurious, modern hotel offering on-site restaurants and cafes, an unbeatable place to watch the Badgers win, and beautiful patios overlooking the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Did we mention this hotel is also just steps from Camp Randall? That hotel is our Wisconsin Union Hotel at Union South. Both of these gorgeous hotels are available to members at discounted room rates. These are perfect places to stay for your tailgate experience, stay-cation, vacation, or business trip. Whatever your reason for staying with us, we can’t wait to welcome you to your campus home away from home.
  • Free private event space rentals: Wisconsin Union annual members and lifetime Wisconsin Union members are eligible for free meeting room rentals for personal, private special events at Memorial Union and Union South. One note: Only lifetime Wisconsin Union members can receive free room rentals for weddings. (Not a lifetime member yet? Ask our membership team about becoming a lifetime member at membership@union.wisc.edu.)
