Three weeks into the semester and it’s already time to study at the Union! While the Memorial Union is under a bit of renovation at the moment, there are still spots to grab a meal between classes or work on that paper. Along with the new Daily Scoop in the Paul Bunyan room, the Stiftskeller just opened a made-to-order sandwich shop called the Subskeller.

Now open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., the Stiftskeller will serve their usual beer, along with a selection of hot and cold sandwiches and soups.

Sandwiches are ordered in the Stiftskeller and then picked up at the Subskeller station in the Rathskeller dining room. Toppings are easily added or removed based on your preference.

The sandwiches, each titled after a UW staple, start at $4.75. They range from shaved roast beef, the Beefeaters sandwich, to fire-braised chicken, the Annex sandwich.

But where should you eat your gourmet meal? From booths to lounge chairs, the Rathskeller dining room and the Shannon Sunset Lounge have all your seating options.

Head over to the Memorial Union today to taste their new sandwiches yourself.
