Summer is a great time to broaden your horizons. Testing out a different hairstyle or reading a new genre can often lead to the discovery of new favorites. The same can be said for experimenting with different flavors of ice cream! Summer is the perfect time to enjoy Babcock ice cream, made right here at the dairy plant on campus. To ensure you don’t get stuck in a rut ordering the same chocolate or vanilla cone, we’ve put together a quick guide breaking down some of the unique flavors at the Daily Scoop. Read on to find your new go-to cold and creamy treat.
Pecan Praline ~ Similar to Babcock’s popular Butter Pecan flavor, Praline Pecan has a creamy vanilla base with sugary, caramelized pralines. This flavor has made even nut-haters happy.
White Chocolate Berry Shortbread ~ Vanilla ice cream with swirls of berry goodness and white chocolate, mixed with chunks of doughy shortbread. What more could you want?
Salted Caramel Toffee ~ This flavor features gooey caramel in a vanilla ice cream base, topped off with crunchy toffee crumbles that resemble bits of a Heath Bar.
Banana Peanut Butter ~ Have you ever eaten a peanut butter and banana sandwich? This flavor is the dessert version of the unexpected combination, which includes a banana ice cream base swirled with rich peanut butter. Don’t worry–the banana doesn’t taste as artificial as many banana-flavored candies do.
Batter Up ~ Everyone has sneaked a lick of leftover cake batter at some point in life when baking. With this sweet flavor consisting of cake batter and fudge, you don’t have to feel guilty about it.
Chocolate Peanut Butter ~ If you’re looking for an ice cream flavor to match your Reese’s obsession, look no further. This flavor is the perfect combination of chocolate and peanut butter, and it is guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Bec-Key Lime Pie ~ Named after UW-Madison Chancellor Rebecca Blank, this flavor takes the sweet and tart lime filling of key lime pie and swirls it with doughy pie crust. It’s the perfect summer flavor!
