Uh-rah-rah Wisconsin! Badger Bash is bigger than ever
Before each UW Madison Badger football home game, over 3,000 hyped-up and hungry Badger fans flock to the Wisconsin Union buildings for tailgating fun and festivities at Badger Bash. This year, Badger Bash will be serving up more brats, beer, and adding new fun activities in the brand new Union South building. Here are photos from this year’s first Badger Bash and a list of activities happening at every Badger Bash. The Union South Plaza:
- Brats, beverages, Bucky and a performance by the UW marching band!
- WTSO The Big 1070 live pre-game broadcast from the Plaza and win prizes in the “Bucky Money Machine.”
- Star Country Media tent offering prizes and giveaways.
- Plenty of food options: Brats, beverages and Babcock ice cream! New international favorites including flat breads, kabobs, fried rice & egg rolls.
- Badger and Union merchandise on sale.
- Stop by early for the Campus Legends Breakfast: enjoy fresh breakfast while catching up with some of Wisconsin’s notable sports figures, sports writers and other campus icons. Held inside at Harvest Grains.
The Orchard Family Fun Zone:
- Face painting and Inflatables: bouncy castle, football and basketball games.
- Badger Legends Tent: get a photo of yourself in a cutout of Badger legends!
- Dig in to the “Day at the Fair” food kiosk, including turkey drumsticks, corn dogs and cotton candy.
- Brats, Babcock ice cream, as well as Brickhouse BBQ and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop.
- Pictures with the brand new Bucky Badger Honda Pilot and a free Bucky Badger tote bag.
The Sett:
- Catch all the pre-game action on our 16′ HDTV!
- New food options including tasty appetizers like nachos, cheese curds and onion rings, plus the famous Bucky Burger!
- Bowling, billiards and air hockey in the lower level along with beverages, pizza and other snacks.
The 6th Quarter:
After the game, stop back at Union South for the 6th Quarter!
- Catch the late games as well as the post-game wrap-up – “Badger Game Day” – broadcast on 1310 WIBA, live from Union South.
- Visit The Sett to enjoy bowling, food and the big screen HD TV to watch all the football action.
- Later in the night there is live music in The Sett and a movie in The Marquee, free to UW students, faculty, staff and Union members and guests!
