Terrace Views readers give valuable feedback
Last February, we asked our readers to take a survey and tell us what they thought of Terrace Views.
First of all, thank you for all of you who participated! We listened very closely and learned some things we never would have figured out without you. You’ll start to see some changes in the coming months, so get excited!
Here are some of the survey highlights:
You read Terrace Views for some great reasons
- 62% said it helped you feel connected to the Wisconsin Union
- 56% of you read it to hear about upcoming events
- 49% of you read it because you are interested in the topics
Most readers read half to most of the articles each month
- 52% read about half the articles
- 37% read most of the articles
Most readers felt Terrace Views covers just the right amount for most topics. Some of you would like to see more coverage on Mini Courses, film, music and entertainment
- 22% said there was “not enough coverage” of Mini Courses
- 21% said there was “not enough coverage” of film, music and entertainment
Readers also shared a ton of great ideas for stories. Here are a few of them:
“Articles of substance, like what Union members are doing today”
“I hope you keep covering historical articles; I enjoy them immensely”
“More interactivity built into the newsletter. For example: Question of the Months, Suggest a new program for the Terrace, Share favorite story about ‘X’…”
“Student leader profiles, info on programs by smaller programming committees, recipes from the Union files, neat things from the Union archives, more photos, better quality videos”
“Interviews and previews of bands playing at the Terrace, Der Rathskeller and Union South”
Based on your feedback, we are also considering putting together each issue of Terrace Views as a .pdf document in addition to putting all of the articles on the blog. Please take a moment to vote in the poll below (you may need to reload the page to see the poll) on whether reading the issue as .pdf would be of interest to you.
Keep an eye out for some new stories in the coming months. Thanks for reading and thanks for your feedback!
