Ready to hit the slopes? Get all the gear you need to explore the outdoors this winter at the 59th annual Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Resale, the Midwest’s largest ski swap!

With new and gently used gear for sale – including skis, snowboards, snowshoes, helmets, goggles, apparel and more – you can find everything you need to start your next wintertime hobby Dec. 23 in Union South’s Varsity Hall. There’s something for every budget, with six vendors and a myriad of preowned selections to choose from! It’s a great way to get your holiday shopping in early for the sports enthusiast in your life. (Or it’s just the perfect excuse to buy yourself a new pair of skis – we won’t tell!)

You can also take advantage of on-site waxing and tuning services from the Hoofer Alpine and Nordic Ski Teams, and leave Union South ready to head straight to the ski hill.

As an added bonus, if you’re looking to get some winter gear off your hands, you can bring in up to 10 items Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 to sell at the resale and volunteers will help appraise each one for sale.

Proceeds from the Resale support the student-led Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club and its Alpine, Nordic and Freestyle ski teams, enabling student leadership opportunities and funding the club’s ski trips with children from Big Brothers Big Sisters.

For more information on the Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Resale, visit www.hoofersns.org/resale. Anyone 18 or older may join the student-led Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club, as well as the five other outdoor recreation clubs that make up the Wisconsin Hoofers. You can join a Hoofers club by visiting the Outdoor UW office on the lower level of Memorial Union, calling (608) 262-1630, or by making a membership purchase online.
