New, Limited-Edition Mini Terrace Chair Takes on the World

What do the Wisconsin Union and the Earth have in common?

  1. Gorgeous colors and natural beauty.
A beautiful, colorful day on the Memorial Union Terrace

When you visit the Union, you’re lucky enough to have a front row seat to many of Earth’s most beautiful natural creations. For example, when you visit the Memorial Union Terrace in summer, you can sit in our vibrant orange, green and yellow sunburst chairs and watch mesmerizing sunsets reflect off of the sparkling blue waves of Lake Mendota. Come fall, you can enjoy crimson and burnt orange leaves falling during Badger Bash tailgates at Union South. No matter how or when you choose to spend time at Union South or Memorial Union, the natural beauty of the Earth is always right there with you.

  1. Leaders with unique perspectives.

Each of the 7.9 billion people in the world offers a unique perspective influenced by their own life experiences. We are lucky to have so many creative individuals who work at the Wisconsin Union and who use our buildings. Our hardworking student staff, our longtime Union employees, our student leaders with the Wisconsin Union Directorate and our valued Union members (which includes current UW-Madison students) and guests, like you, all help make experiences for a lifetime possible.

  1. The need for sustainability.

The health of the Earth affects us all. We, at the Wisconsin Union, invest in sustainable practices, including using locally-sourced food and beverages whenever possible, installing water bottle refilling stations, using green technology and more. The mini world Terrace chairs come in three different cut views of the Earth

Combine your love for the Union and the Earth by purchasing a brand-new, limited-edition mini Terrace chair! These brilliant turquoise mini world chairs feature the iconic Terrace sunburst logo on the seat and one of three different cut views of the Earth on the back. Max Homstad, junior graphic designer at the Union, designed the world chairs after being inspired by the endless possibilities the world and its leaders have to offer.

With the holiday season upon us, these mini world Terrace chairs are the perfect gift for someone special in your life, whether they are a UW-Madison student, grad, or alum, or lover of the Wisconsin Union. Better yet, you can give them the complete mini Terrace chair collection! You can purchase a classic mini Terrace chair in orange, yellow, green or red, or you can show off your love for the dairy state with a limited-edition cow print Terrace chair, which supports the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.

The Wisconsin-made mini world chairs are available for purchase at the Badger Markets in Memorial Union and Union South, as well as online at terracestore.union.wisc.edu. These chairs and our cow-print chairs are only available while supplies last, so make sure to get them before they’re gone!
Your purchase of a world chair helps to enrich the lives of future global leaders and our community. We thank you for your continued dedication to the Union. Learn more at union.wisc.edu.
