Linger Longer at the Terrace This Fall
As the summer season at the Wisconsin Union wraps up, not everything changes with the seasons: Terrace fun usually continues into the fall each year. There’s something special about the Terrace during this time of year, so trade your swimsuit for a sweater, and join us for a new season we know you’ll be falling for! 😉 This fall, don’t be afraid to linger a little longer on the Memorial Union Terrace. 🍂
As the leaves begin to change color and the temperature slowly drops, these are not signs that Terrace season has ended but that a new Terrace season has begun. While we haven’t announced the Terrace closure date quite yet, we historically continue the Terrace season through at least October, giving you time to settle into and enjoy all of the fall vibes.
An underrated perk of the Terrace fall season? It is less busy. During the fall, your chances of finding a seat with the perfect lake view increase most days. Less people at the Terrace creates a chill vibe that pairs perfectly with hot chocolate or a glass of Spotted Cow beer, the cooler weather and your favorite, comfy sweater. And if you need some delicious food to warm you up, remember to stick around to enjoy house-made soup, freshly fried cheese curds, and many more delicious menu options.
Although this new season may mean saying a temporary goodbye to some of your favorite summer activities, such as Terrace Art Zone, there is still so much to enjoy, including hiking excursions, free film showings and free concerts. Concerts and film showings continue even after the Terrace closes for the season. Concerts move into der Rathskeller and the Sett, and films move to the Marquee at Union South.
The Terrace fall season is just as beautiful as the summer season you know and love. The colorful leaves, quieter atmosphere, cool air and relaxed feel give it its own special charm. This fall, the Terrace is where you’ll want to be.
We invite you to linger longer at the Terrace this fall and to check out TerraceSummer.com.
