Grad Weekend at the Union

Commencement weekend brings extra crowds to campus, so be sure to have a plan and know what’s going on to avoid long lines! We’ve put together a list of events happening over the weekend to help you celebrate:

Graduation Weekend Dance Party

The Terrace, Friday, May 15 at 9 p.m. & Saturday, May 16 at 8 p.m.

Both bands, 16 Candles and VO5, will be celebrating all the new grads both Friday and Saturday on the Terrace Summer Stage. Either come dance the night away or watch the sunset!

New Graduate Photo Shoot

The Terrace, Saturday, May 16 at 2:30-5:00 p.m.

Following the commencement ceremony, head to the Terrace to get a free professional photo taken in the giant Terrace chair! Your photos will be uploaded to Facebook where you can tag yourself and download for free.

This is also a perfect time to buy your Wisconsin Union lifetime membership for $75. If you do so at the event, you will receive a free mini Terrace chair!

Last Scoop of Babcock

At Memorial Union and Union South, the Daily Scoop will be featuring favorites like Blue Moon and Mocha Macchiato. Whether you are leaving after graduation or staying in Madison, grab a cone or bowl to celebrate the special day.

Terrace Time

The Terrace is everyone’s favorite spot in the warm weather, and graduation weekend makes it no different. Grab a brat and rest on the sunburst chairs with visiting family and friends!
