Feast Your Eyes on the Union South Farmer’s Market
Farmer’s market fans, listen up! Union South’s second annual farmer’s market is happening every Thursday until October 23. From 11 a.m – 3 p.m. on the Orchard Street Mall, you can stop by to taste fresh and organic foods. From pumpkins to potatoes, local vendors like Munchkey Apples, Babcock Dairy, Keewaydin Organics and more offer something for everyone.
Nicole Prekop, a UW-Madison senior studying psychology and leadership, championed the idea of creating the farmer’s market. “Our vision for the market was to expose students, staff and faculty to local farmers and provide healthy, local options at an accessible location on campus.”
