Are You Game for Badger Bash?

There is truly nothing like a Badger football game at Camp Randall and the tailgate we host before it: Badger Bash. Game day is a celebration that does not just start at kickoff and end at the final whistle. It is an all day affair and one you do not want to miss! Whether you watch the game from the stands of Camp Randall or from seats in our restaurants, we have a game day celebration fit for all fans.

Badger Bash at Union South is the ultimate game day destination. Whether you are a short walk or a long drive from Camp Randall, this tailgate will make you feel right at home, whether you’re rooting for the Badgers or the team that is going to lose (😉). No need to stress about game day plans, because at Badger Bash, we’ve got you covered. Here are five reasons why I love Badger Bash, and you will, too!

1. Nothing beats a Badger Bash.

What started as crowds gathering for the University of Wisconsin Marching Band pre-game warmup, has turned into a Wisconsin Union home game day tradition for more than 40 years. Along with being a beloved tradition, Badger Bash at Union South is the ultimate home game day destination, bringing together Badger fans and opponents near and far. From the two-minute walk from Camp Randall Stadium, to the unrivaled game day atmosphere, there is no other tailgate quite like this one!

2. Badger Bash is full of fans, food and fun!

A Badger Bash is never boring. Starting 2 1/2 hours before kickoff, Badger Bash goers can enjoy live performances of game day favorites like “Sweet Caroline” from the UW Marching Band and the University of Wisconsin Spirit Squad. Badger Bash includes fresh food and drink options, including a delicious brat and on-tap beer options. But there is more than just food and drinks on the menu! Badger Bash attendees can expect a variety of fun activities and games around Union South. You can even take home some free game day goodies!

3. The fun doesn’t end when the football starts.

One of the best parts about Badger Bash is that it doesn’t end at kickoff. While many fans make their way over to Camp Randall shortly before the game, Union South has got you covered if you aren’t attending the game. Fans can watch the game on the giant screen in the Union South restaurant, the Sett Pub. In Union South, fans can enjoy a variety of food options from delicious Wisconsin cheese curds to creamy Babcock Ice Cream, all game long. So, even if you aren’t going to the game, grab a seat at Badger Bash!

4. Return to Union South for the perfect post-game party!

If you are a Badger fan, you have probably heard of the Fifth Quarter, but have you heard of the Sixth Quarter? After the game is over, fans and foes can return to Union South for a post-game celebration with more performances by the UW Marching Band and loads of fun activities, including bowling, free video game playing, billiards and, of course, food, all at Union South! Union South is a building on campus beloved by students, staff and fans, alike. From the seating areas on the building’s outdoor decks to the bowling alley in the basement, there is no other place you will want to end your game day!

Whether you join us for a pregame celebration or you stick with us until the Sixth Quarter, let’s have a ball at Badger Bash!
