Nothing but Net: Get the Full March Madness Experience at the Wisconsin Union

Both Memorial Union and Union South will host multiple events for March Madness.

With 67 NCAA basketball games in less than three weeks, you’ll need a great spot to watch March Madness this year. The Wisconsin Union has you covered, so join us for Badgers, beverages and plenty of basketball at der Rathskeller and the Sett starting Thursday, March 16.

Der Rathskeller has the perfect set up for all sports fans, including a 180-inch screen to stream game after game, a step up from watching it in a crowded restaurant or a small cellphone. Every match needs snacks, so be sure to grab a scratch-off coupon at each location for a chance to get delicious discounted food. From deep fried cheese curds to beer battered onion rings, nachos, burgers and more, der Rathskeller and the Sett have you covered.

March Madness would not be complete without a bracket challenge, and at the Union, we have not one, but two free brackets. First, be sure to follow the Wisconsin Union on Twitter to participate in the Daily Scoop Ice Cream Flavor Faceoff and see if your favorite scoop classic wins.

In addition, the Union is also holding an NCAA bracket challenge, with correct predictions earning entries into the raffle for prizes, with correct predictions in later rounds earning additional entries. Even if your bracket isn’t submitted by the 11 a.m. Thursday, March 16 deadline, be sure to follow along!

Don’t miss out on your shot to have the total game experience, stop by Memorial Union and Union South for each round:

  • First Round: March 16th, 17th
  • Second Round: March 18th, 19th
  • Sweet 16: March 23rd, 24th
  • Elite 8: March 25th, 26th
  • Final Four: April 1st
  • National Championship: April 3rd

Don’t cheer on the Badgers alone, instead cheer on the team with the Union community for a slam dunk experience.
